The site is (clearly) a work in progress, and the Manic Time has passed, so updates will proceed, albeit a little more slowly. So here's a pretty photo for now:

Hmm...

It looks, from this Google Maps view, as if there's some sort of protective cover over the dome. I would expect that between snow loads and hail, it is properly protected.
