No seriously, I'm testing a new comment-spam filtering module on my site, and want a few raw comments to test both the quality of the filtering and the user experience.

Let me know if it does anything annoying that I should fix.

Working. For Money.

I've been making a few jokes here and there about how my new job title is "interim regional assistant manager." This is meant to be comical, of course. In fact I'm now an acting supervisor, not an interim manager.

But I'm excited. And I'm not just saying that in case my manager is reading this. It's an important project, one I care about in a fairly visceral way.

  • Low turnout: 58% or so, the lowest in Canadian history if that holds
  • Greens, BQ tread water
  • NDP, Conservatives slightly up
  • Liberals lose a lot of seats

After a note on a hockey newsgroup, I got to wondering: owing to cases where one team or another is ahead or behind in games played, it's possible for a player who is traded to end up playing more regular-season games than there are in a single team's regular season.
